Everything Search Engine free Windows Utility is worth a look!

[powr-twitter-feed label="Everything Search Engine"] Recently I downloaded a Windows utility for file searching that is extremely fast locating any type of file on my machines.  The software tool is called "Everything" and can be downloaded from Voidtools.  The software was created by David Carpenter and you can install either a 32 or 64 bit version. Installing Everything is very simple, you download either the 32 or 64 bit Windows version, it takes a few seconds to index and locate all hard drives or USB clips that are known by the operating system.  You will have a shortcut on the desktop and when it comes to locating any type of file you can use the filter to reduce what you are looking for or just put the title in the search box…

Apple OS X El Capitan is being released today.

Starting on September 30th, everybody will be able to install Apple's latest OS X update, El Capitan, on their Macs. It'll be free, and given that Apple claims its predecessor had "the fastest adoption ever" of any PC OS, it'll be popular too. El Capitan is the small one in Apple's big-then-small OS update cadence, which means that we have just a few core changes, a bunch of app updates, and a healthy pile of bug fixes. Major updates: Start-up will be faster. Split View which automatically will fill the screen with another application. Mission control has been vastly improved.  Windows will be in a single layer, no stacking and set up relative to each other. Spotlight is improved to quickly gather weather, stocks, sports faster. Embarcadero has released DB PowerStudio 2016 during the DataU Webinar 2 day conference.   Product installation is simple and quick.  The new features that provide DBAs the ability of checking SQL Server performance by using the add-on Performance IQ.
