Google believes Android is as secure as iOS

Software Events
Google believes Android is as secure as iOS Google recently published its fourth annual year in review for Android's security and looking  through the comprehensive, 56-page report yourself there are various items you can see and determine whether they are legit. Machine learning is playing a huge role in securing Android devices. Back in May, the company announced Google Play Protect, which is a one stop shop for Google's suite of security services on Android. Machine learning found 60.3 percent of all potentially harmful apps within the Play store, and Google expects that number to continue increasing. Android may be perceived as "less secure" than iOS but in 2016, the annual probability of downloading a potentially harmful app was at .04 percent, which is a pretty small number and in 2017 Google was…

Remember that CNN as well…

News Items, Software Releases
Apple April 2018 will force all Apps to be built with iOS 11. Beginning in April 2018 all new iOS apps submitted to the App Store must be built with the iOS 11 SDK.  This is the method Apple uses to force developers to fall into line otherwise your app will not be in the store. For the average developer using either Rad Studio or Visual Studio they will have to hope their IDE's can be used and sent to the store.  There could be issues with the IDEs that Apple tends to wait until a few weeks prior to releasing the final version.  This alone may break the development cycle with your IDE. iOS 11 has brought innovative features and the redesigned App Store to hundreds of millions of customers…
