How to stop Robocalls to your cell phone.<\/h1>\n

\"Robocalls\"<\/a><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There are over 2.4 billion Robocalls made every month reported by the FCC. \u00a0A Robocall is usually an advertiser spreading some sort of message. It can be annoying to receive countless calls during the day.<\/p>\n

Follow these steps to see which ones help.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Google your cell phone number to see who has the ability of viewing it.<\/li>\n
  2. Add your number to the www.donotcall.gov registration<\/a> which is a free service.<\/li>\n
  3. If you are receiving calls and you are registered send the robocall numbers to to the FTC.<\/li>\n
  4. You can block messages or phone numbers in your phone listing.<\/li>\n
  5. Download apps which you may have to pay a subscription to stop the calls.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    There are numerous apps available that can cost between pennies to $10.00 per month which is dependent on the amount of calls you receive.<\/p>\n

    The\u00a0Better Business Bureau<\/a>\u00a0suggests hanging up when you encounter recorded messages trying to sell you something. Never press any numbers on your phone to speak to an operator or to be removed from the company\u2019s call list. Pressing a button confirms the solicitation is being heard and can lead to more robocalls.<\/p>\n

    Report illegal calls.\u00a0<\/strong>File complaints with the FTC at 888-382-1222 or\u00a0DoNotCall.gov<\/a><\/p>\n

    Also, don\u2019t rely on caller ID. Scammers can make it appear as though calls are coming from legitimate businesses. Most important:\u00a0NEVER<\/em>\u00a0give out financial<\/p>\n
