It\u00a0also unfairly favoring Asian workers when recruiting and hiring for technical positions.<\/p>\n<p>Since 1977 \u00a0Oracle employs 136,000 globally with about 37 percent classified as minorities and 29 percent of which are women. \u00a0 Women comprise 25 percent of the company&#8217;s management positions.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Source Cites Possible Political Motivation<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>One source cites that there could be a possible political motivation behind the lawsuit. \u00a0\u00a0 The source quoted to eWEEK. \u00a0&#8220;<em>They have filed against Palantir and Oracle, two companies with public ties to the current administration and in the three last days of the Obama administration in an effort to pressure the new administration.<\/em> It&#8217;s meant to embarrass the Trump administration; they will be stuck with these lawsuits, and the labor side will cast aspersions on the Trump administration if it moves to change the litigation posture favorably\/fairly to business.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The lawsuit was filed in the final 72 hours of the Obama administration. \u00a0This does make it seem that this could be political. \u00a0This is based on the inside source informing eWEEK.<\/p>\n<p><em>&#8220;The complaint is politically motivated, based on false allegations, and wholly without merit,&#8221;\u00a0<\/em> Oracle spokeswoman Deborah Hellinger said. <em>&#8220;Oracle values diversity and inclusion, and is a responsible equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
